Jealousy

Trade show season has arrived. All over the world trade shows like Magic, Project, Bread & Butter, Agenda, ASR, and so many more will be beginning soon.
If your familiar with the trade show scene you may have attended Capsule, a New York based trade show. Carrying some of the best progressive contemporary place setters in the fashion market, I have seen Kstubi/Tsubi, Acne, Wood Wood, Clae, and a hand full of others in their NYC show.
Recently I received a email that Capsule will be taking their show on the road, well over the seas. Capsule in accordance with BrandPimps will be having a trade show in "Grande Paris"
I have spoke to one store and buyer that are so lucky/privileged to attend Capsule show in Paris. Las Vegas & San Diego are not bad but Paris, come on that's where I need to be.
The show begins June 25-28 2008 in Paris' historic Marais District, Rue de la Perle, from 10pm -7pm each day.
Peep this: music courtesy of April 77 records & food prepared daily by a private chef (compare that to plastic box salads & $5 dollar lunch specials).

Another reason I'm jealousy is the brand list: April 77 * Carlos Campos * Creative Recreation * Cutler and Gross * Double Identity * Endovanera * Made by Eugene * Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair * Fred Perry Special Product * Garb Store * Haversack * Harmon * Hope * Hyden Yoo * Julian Red * Lewis Leathers * Nom de Guerre * Oak * Our Legacy * Penfield * Public School * Rachel Comey Shoes * Real Real Genuine * S2VS * Silas * Simon Miller Jeans * Stansfield * Won Hundred * Wood Wood * YMC * Yoko Devereaux.
I love Silas & Nom de Guerre, Oak clothing line pretty good as is Wood Wood**

I WANT TO GO!!!

Store Shouts!!

I like Nom de Guerre. I always have. I feel like one's fashion sense is comparable to one's personality; life's experiences, environment, society, and family play a major role in development. Up until my latter years, I have moved from appreciation to advent member of Nom's movement. Personally at 25, I have a hard time wearing a lot of brands. Not to say, I don't appreciate their contribution (well some brands) but I have grown out of that stage. Especially as a buyer at a street-wear store.
For the longest, I was a desperate fashion vagrant searching for an outlet that considered my past fashion history. A store that remembered the Stussy days, loves the peerless world of thrifting, but understands the life of an adult. Nom de Guerre is that. They have developed an unmatched habit for staying ahead of the curve. Since the creation in 2003, owners and creative directors Holly Harnsongkram, Wil Whitney, Devon Turnbull, and Isa Saalabi have molded their conundrum of a location(former meeting facility/bunker for the Black Panther party) into a cornerstone in NYC fashion.

Nom de Guerre in-house brand's newest collection for spring/sumer '08 "Under The Open Sky" follows suit with another great all around collection and sits extremely well next to my favorite brands; Comme des Garçons "PLAY" and A.P.C.. Their focus on brand consistenty has allowed them to take Nom de Guerre and their brand to new heights.

Recently, I was conning around Barney's and notice Nom De Guerre had a full racket in CO-OP floor
Congratulations!!!
