R.I.P.

DNR magazine is no longer in publication
Supposedly only 2 or 3 issues left..

This was a shocker to me but I had been hearing this day was coming for awhile.

Many retailers had been voicing their opinion of the weekly released magazine's direction and content.

I liked the DNR publication, not my favorite but I appreciated their angles sometimes. I'm not going to get in to the war of "Love or Hate" but many retailers across the world will miss DNR.

I was talking with another fashion compadre about DNR demise and there legacy,
Like everything that is good, once money and fame gets involved, you start to get a lot of influence and direction from people who normally wouldn't have any say or care"
That in my opinion is where DNR messed up at. The idea was great but I feel like DNR slowly became less and less involved with the real issues in retail.

I have a few friends at DNR(Ola Barry and Amy) and always enjoyed the jovial conversations we would have about streetwear, tradeshows, and the needed changes throughout the fashion industry.

I'm saddened but again changed is needed throughout the industry.
I read a really good quote about the end of DNR and the change needed to help many fashion markets get back on the right foot.
We need to be honest....far more honest than we've been in this industry and until we do that in business nothing great can happen. - Anonymous Fashion Consultant
