Field Study

Throughout the trade show season and couple of weeks after, I will be filling you on those brands and key people who are helping rebuild "streetwear". As the buyer for BoundlessNY, this has became my life so I'm going to try to explain my position better while trying not to blast out myself & friends in the process.
Yesterday I received the new Ransom catalog. Mi-Chan thinks they are one of the best brands and that is not far. There standards are very clean and well crafted. The Goodfoot/Ransom guys are some smart dudes and have a strong lock on Canada. I like what they did with their lookbook. A couple seasons back Staple did a really nice one that looked like a child's textbook or something.
I see you, Oliver. Shouts to Frasier and the rest of crew.

I had a power day at the showroom, The Foundation. I had meeting with Hellz Bellz, Keep, and In4mation.
(Cassandra is rocking the Fall '08 holiday Hellz Bellz cardigan)
The young lady to the left is Cassandra. She is the marksWOman behind the brand all the woman seem to love, Hellz Bellz. At BoundlessNY, I can honestly say Hellz represents 1 of the 3 brands that definitely have a strong clientele base. Their sale-thru is consistent and usually as soon as we get it is mostly gone.
The young lady to the right is Tara and she is the rep for Keep. Tara is super cool and we go back to the Abercrombie & Fitch days. Keep has be great for us at BoundlessNY. We are located in a core thrift and skate community. Nike are always going to be Nikes, but in the female shoe side you have to have somewhat of a choice. Not every girl wants to look exactly like their male counterparts. Keep has been that blessing. They continously put out great shoes and for Fall I'm pretty sure I will have to order those for men too.
(Yoshi, who is reluctant to take a picture, is holding In4mation Fall 08' 5-panels caps. Dope color ways and nice material)
This trouble maker right here is Jessica or you may know her as Yoshi. Super sweet gal and is also the rep for In4mation. She used to be the buyer for Fatlace so she definitely knows 'what is what' in the industry. I used to be a big In4mation fan but as a buyer I wasn't really sure where I stood with the brand. Since my initial thought about 2 years ago, In4mation has taken the right steps to get back to their glory days. The last 2 lines has been on my 'tops list' and from what I saw today the next season will do the same.

After all was said and done, I grabbed the new King Stampede x Shut deck and headed home. I'm loving this graphic. I definitely get with The Delfonics.
My apartments looks like a concert so I will be cleaning the next couple of days. My Mom is the bestest!!. I'm quite secretive and until last year had always hid my shoes or other valubles she might get mad at me for having. Last year, she surprised me at my apartment and I had to show here my collection. My mom very religious but funny in her own way. The whole day she kept commenting on me "coventing shoes". You had to be there. HAHA love you mom!!
