SCENIC VIEW

Shouts to Bon Duke and Ina from SVA.... (I see you Yannik!!)

I attended Bon and Ina's photo exhibit last night at the SVA Photo studio on 21st Street.
Appropiately titled "Garçon et Fille" ....... Really good job!!

SORRY!! I would have posted the exhibit details on J.D.S but I was also upgrading my CS3 to CS4 at the time and couldn't spare a second..

I will find out how long this exhibit is running.
Definitely worth checking out!!

Scenic View...

I was crawling over super great site, Tinyvices for the new Jeret Penner portfolio(left, 1/5 of HUMANFIVE**) and I saw this sweet collage from Jason M. Lee(right). Getting back to Jeret Penner, I really like his painting. I don't want to elaborate and proclaim too much but I will say his creativity is quite refreshing.

While I was looking around I saw a post for New York Photo Festival. Labeled "The Future of Contemporary Photography" Starting May 14th, this 4 day event will be hosted in Dumbo Brooklyn with curators; Martin Parr, Lesley A. Martin, Tim Barber, Kathy Ryan. Damn that's a pretty prestigious panel... really good stuff!!

The line up of artist and exhibitions will definitely be best in New York City and possibly one of the most "talked-about" events of the year. I honestly can't even start to explain the festival schedule . I was excited and overwhelmed at the same time.
Only slightly bad news....... this event cost some currency but I'm willing to put the life of my unborn that this festival will be well worth its weight in gold. They have all sorts of price packages and/or for those on that grassroots/broke tip you can volunteer to be apart of such a great event for Brooklyn.
