JUST IN.. .

MICHAEL JENNING IS A BUM!! I could have had a better fight with Miguel Cotto..

Sorry..

I just received the updated 2009 Airlines promo codes for discount travel. If you didn't know, most airlines send out tons of discount codes & vouchers for associations and people who spend a lot on travel.

Anybody looking to fly this year, holla at me. I have codes for most airlines and would be happy to share. Discounts up to $200 and some international deals for extra vouchers and companion tickets for $99.
Make sure to THANK the Bar Association, my lovely Mother and Sisters!!!

PREDICTIONS

Headed to watch the Miguel Cotto vs Micheal Jenning fight at Madison Square Garden...
Not really a huge fan of either but both can go..
I'm really going to see John Duddy from Ireland. He's BEASTly!!

Predictions.. Jenning going to win..
I want Cotto to win but I have this feeling. But hey I have been wrong before.
Cotto looked a little flushed yesterday at the weigh-in.
Probably from making weight...

I FORGOT..

So much has been happening so I'm trying to keep my mind occupied.
All this thinking made me realize that I forgot to mention, by far, my favorite boxer growing up.

Pernell "Sweat Pea" Whitaker
40 wins(17 KO's) 4 loses 1 draw 1 no-contest
Gold medalist in 1984 L.A Olympics
International Boxing Hall of Fame(2006)
Ring Magazine's 10th greatest fighter of the last 80 years(2002)

One of the craftiest defensive boxers to bless the ring. Pernell "Sweat Pea" Whitaker dominated throughout his pro career which he became world champion in four different weight divisions. He beat Jorge Paez, Roger Mayweather(Floyd's Dad), Julio César Vásquez's (1995, WBA junior middleweight titlist) and was cheated in San Antonio battle against Mexican boxing star Julio César Chávez(1993). Also cheated in the bouts against fighters Oscar De la Hoya(1997) and Andrei Pestriaev(banned substance[cocaine] declared win a no-contest).
Yea I said it.. Whitaker was cheated in both fights against Mexican boxing legends Oscar De la Hoya & Julio César Chávez!!!

DID YOU SEE THAT?!?

I love ESPN..
It's honestly man's best friend in my book.
If you have been watching ESPN lately, they been airing some of the best fights in commemoration of ESPN's 10th Anniversary of Friday Night Fights. Some classic fights with boxers like Ricky Hatton, Kostya Tszyu, Demarcus "Chop Chop" Corley, Jeff "left hook" Lacy, Floyd Mayweather, Joe Louis, Nonito Donaire and tons more.
I have been glued to ESPN and ESPN 2.

Yesterday, ESPN aired one of the greatest fights to date well the rematch of the greatest fight, Diego Corrales ve Jose Luis Castillo.
I don't know why but I like Diego "Chico" Corrales. Yea I know a lot of people think he is a bum but he's good. He is in a group of boxers, I think could have been great but their journey to the championship belts they chose a different road. In Diego's case, he basically fought any and everybody who showed up. Corrales never really dodged anybody and he's a tough fighter with some decent speed, not too flashy.
Boxing is a strategy sport and the fight you reject is almost as important as the fight you take. You gotta know when to fight and when to chill. Diego was young and hungry and felt unbeatable and in boxing thats like wearing gasoline underwear to a bonfire party.
I know of Jose Luis Castillo but I don't like him. He's good but I'm not really into his style. Recently, I saw Castillo fight Sebastian Nujar, a young upstart from Argentina, and Castillo got embarressed. I felt like I could have beat Castillo after watching that fight. Strangly I was routing for Castillo though.
EITHER WAY YOU MUST WATCH THE 1st CORRALES VS CASTILLO FIGHT BEFORE YOU DIE!!!
IT'S LIKE A MOVIE...

The question I was referring to in the Topic was if you saw the Diego Corrales vs Jose Luis Castillo undercard? It featured a rematch to a very good fight; Jorge Arce vs Hussein "Hussy" Hussein.
What happen in the 2nd round? Was that fake? I have seen Hussein Hussein fight, he is pretty good. Why did it end like that? Was it set up? Either way neither could beat Nonito "Filipino Flash" Donaire.

Quote me: Nonito "Filipino Flash" Donaire will be the next pound for pound champion.

If you watch a Donaire fight you can understand why I & so many others like Donaire so much. He's a SMART warrior like John Duddy.

He is in my top favorite boxers at the moment, no order, all of these guys are solid and good to watch:
John Duddy

Nonito "Filipino Flash" Donaire

Floyd Mayweather Jr.

(i'm suprised Arturo Gatti still has a face)
