Sad sad news.
Estelle Getty has passed away. The legendary actress died Tuesday in her Los Angeles home at 5:35 A.M.
She was 84. While this is truly sad news, we must be comforted to know that she is in a better place now.
The Golden Girl had been very sick recently and had been fighting dementia for years.
Our thoughts go out to her family.
So sad....
Randomly, I grew up watching Golden Girls. The Golden Girls would come on at 10pm which was my "in the bed" time but I didn't have to immediately go to sleep. I had a TV so I stayed up watching shows like Welcome Back, Kotter, Taxi, Mork and Mindy, and a few others.
Funny thing, now that I am older I realize that Sex and the City somewhat followed the script of a few other Golden Girls. What's up, Blanche? Blanche was my favorite....
