STORE SHOUTS X SNEAKERS N STUFF

Sneakers N Stuff
Åsögatan 124
Stockholm Sweden

This was the very first store I was told to visit if I was interested in buying some quality sneakers. Johan(A.W.B., also former owner of Beneath) showed me a pair of Fragment Nike classic he just purchased from SNS. Lead me to believe I would be spending a lot of time inside this store. I was right..
Sneakers N Stuff has been running its operations in Solderman section of Stockholm since 1999. Created from an idea to save money on foreign trips, SNS owners sneaker enthusiatics Erik Börjesson and Peter Jansson have since molded the idea into a staple store in Stockholm.
The concept behind the creation of SNS came from Erik and Peter during their regular shopping outing to the USA. Occasionally they would take a few orders on stuff to even out the finances for the trip. The duo notice each time they would travel back to NYC or LA they would get more and more orders for specific styles unfamiliar to Scandinavia shoe stores.
From this notion they decided to bring their shoe taste permanently to Stockholm in the form of Sneakers N Stuff. Being true sneakerheads, they have made some valuable decisions and from what I heard has shaped of a lot of the shoe history in Stockholm. The Nike Air Force 1 was a huge success for Sweden & SNS, as they have been credited for the introduction in Scandinavia.

Most stores I visited in Stockholm were rather nice and SNS store didn't disappoint in that area. SNS has a rather laid back, kinda comfy feel. Reminds me a lot my aunts "Great Room" with big grand chairs and rustic looking mirrors. The store is really long as you can see from the image above they have there own cafe inside SNS. Along with the cafe Nike Sportswear division has invested some hefty dollars in building their own room inside Sneakers N Stuff.
As for the clothing, most Swedish men's store stock quality denim nothing different here brands like Levis XX, Denin Denom, etc and for tops they carry a wide array of hard to find NYC items like Alife x Penfield collaboration, Fragment, as well as Swedish brands like WESC.
Their shoe game is matched by few. I was told a few months before I got there, SNS was given the almight "Tier 0" account so they were stocking some of the finest in Nike shoe apparel. They had the DQM dunks, Fragment Classics, and whole lot of other stuff. I haven't been as excited in one sitting for shoes in a while.
I won't bore you with every purchase but i had to grab these classics. The Fragment Nike classics..

Also..
While I in Sweden I had the honor to attend the SNS shoe release party with Adidas. The party was for the final installment release of Adidas aZX collaboration. That night (Oct.18) Sneakers N Stuff released a pair along with the likes of DQM, A.R.C, Sneakers N Stuff, Crooked Tongues, Undefeated, VA, & Wood Wood to name a few.

I don't know a lot about this Adidas collaboration(except the Neighborhood shoes were dope) but this video may fill you in a bit..

FIELD STUDY X STOCKHOLM

So lets skip ahead to Monday I will fill you in with everything in a bit. I'm making a funny little shortlist of things. Okay so it's Tuesday morning here as it's almost 4AM in D.C.(OLA MOTHER!!) and NYC.

Yesterday was my first day going to ACNE's office.
I hung out with a few employees this weekend a bit. Very nice and welcoming.
ACNE is a prominent swedish brand as is WESC and just found out IKEA. The IKEA here is kinda dope well the products.

I wish I was able to show you there office as I saw it yesterday. I was given the full tour as a kicker off. RIDICULOUS!!! If you ever seen the MARC J x LV dvd when he goes to Paris office. It's like that. They have a nice library, OMG showroom like Michelango remolded it, and a fully stocked kitchen. The inside is just what you would think a major clothing brand office is. Production rooms, meeting rooms, design offices, all of them just reek creativity. It's really nice to see the inner working.

ACNE's office is located in Innerstaden (inner city kinda old town style). Looks really nice at night with the lights.

A couple of blocks and over a bridge leads you to another area called Gotgatan. Really hip area, more tourist driven with tons of shops and bars. I had a few drinks here 2 nights ago. Kinda like the Williamsburg(BK) of Stockholm but higher buildings and stuff.

(Side Note: Grab drinks from Bla Dorren if you visit Stockholm)

As I was saying earlier this area of Stockholm is much like Williamsburg(BK). I haven't really seen a skate/bmx scene until i journeyed over here.
Young guy was rippin' with his crew. They were filming for a local store which is how it works here. Stockholm is very focused in every meter. Either your hardcore or don't do it at all. A lot of people have told me here that most extreme sports are done by kids under 18. Like if your older and skating or biking you might be laughed upon or at least questioned "why". I heard there is a core group of OG skaters but very "elitetist" like private spots. Probably true because I have see like 8 skaters total. Every scene is like that which is kinda funny. Like your in-crowd or out. Good vibes though everybody super nice so it can be confusing a bit to see this from a american perspective.

I found this core skate shop right around the corner from the skate/bmx park. COYOTE GRIND LOUNGE.

Stocks some of the major & finest in skate products like Element, GIRL, NIKE SB, ES, VOX, Almost, Chocolate to name a few but they also are somewhat historians for skating in Sweden.

They have tons of paraphnelia from early skate culture.

I haven't even scratch the surface of the journeys.
All my graffiti and sneaker heads stay posted. I have some goodies for you. I'm starved so let me grab a turkey-carrot sandwich and get back to work. Oh yea QUALITY ART POST COMING ASAP!! WOW!@!
Be back laters gators...
