HAPPY NEW YEAR LEAKS

Hope your days were merry and blissful regardless of what ever you celebrate.

My holidays were really good. I took a road trip to Ohio to spend the holidays with the extended family. Lots of quality time with my new 2 year old adopted sister, Shyla. Cute as a button!!!

TODAY IS MY BIRTH DATE!!!!!
This may be my best birth date yet...
I am one of the many people whose birth date falls within the 30 day credit card billing cycle of the biggest gift giving holiday of the year. Usually family and friends arbitrate gift giving especially this year given the weak economy.
Though in my old age I have pretty much forgotten about recieving and focus more on giving, which I enjoy the most. Plus, I have the most adorable little cousins and nephews and now sister so it is great to see them enjoy such a special holiday. Plus I love to play with kids' toys...

With all this intact, I have developed a reckless ambition on my birth day. I do and buy every little thing my heart and mind desire. For the past 2 weeks, I have been secretly celebrating and prepping for today. Secretly because my birth day is a personal time of reflection and joy. I'm not into the big parties and stuff, I prefer to spend it alone with CASH. Cash Money.... good guy to know in these days..hint hint!!

I usually set new years resolutions but I do them on my birthday instead.

1) I will act/dress my age a bit more this year... i.e. possibly pointy shoes mmmm nah maybe not. I'll give that 2 more years. I tried a pair of Opening Ceremony leather shoes..So nice but OUCH!! I have flat feet, I couldn't get myself to spend $200+ on pain.
A couple things I will have to retire for sure. This year is the end of the NIKE SB age. Every year my taste in shoes becomes maybe bland or refined in my eyes.
I was really feeling these A.P.C. shoes from the Surplus store in Willaimsburg for 50% off. Say word...
The Visvim too ..(unfortunately not 50% off)..

The Visvim Fall/Winter 2008-2009 lookbook titled "Cubism"

Given this feeling, I felt like I need to share something that I had with everyone. I know you can see all this everywhere but if not charge this one to the house. NIKE SB SUMMER 2009....

Nothing really exciting but maybe you see something I don't. Word is that all there was a lot of section switches through the company design teams of NIKE 6.0. and NIKE SB. That makes sense to me because I have seen some rather clean NIKE 6.0 and the SB section has been/became rather gimmicky...with all due respect of course..

2)I have to run to agnes b. I notice they just opened. I will be back though. Here something from me to you.

Pop something, roll something, kick back and relax on me...
Been a hard yet wonderful year. So happy to be breathing at this rate..

ON MY FEET.. .

I really should not blog this.
Those Beautiful Loser guys promised me and my staff tickets to the premiere in exchange for press then snub us.
Oh well..

THE BEAUTIFUL LOSER CHARITY DUNKS.
I saw these NIKE Dunk Highs featuring Geoff McFetridge mug at Rival.
These are one pair in a pack of 16 being auction by Nike Sportswear on EBAY. This set of unique Dunk highs are a collaboration between Nike designer Jesse Leyva and Beautiful Losers director Aaron Rose.
The dunk highs featuring artwork & stills from the movie while showcasing a new high-resolution digital printing technique from NIKE.
Supposedly the first pairs auction off were sold around $510 a piece.
YIKES!! So happy I'm over that type of stuff.

OH HOW I LOVE CADS!!!

Just picked up the NIKE Dunk High Premium SB "Shoe Goo's".
I was so excited about this shoe release, BEFORE they release. When I actually got the "Shoe Goo's" I was not really impressed. They reminded me of Nike SB "Mork & Mindy's" release which I was also left unfulfilled. Basically these are just red shoes with too much going on and a lot of HYPE.
Though after looking at the "Shoe Goo's" for a few days they're not exactly half bad. They kinda look like some Jordan 1's with the red crackled paint job and the black laces. The gum trim around the sole base adds a few points in my book. I mean the "shoe goo's" are not horrible but nothing spectacular. I probably won't wear them anytime soon but I'm sure they can be done well.

REMEMBER CADS DO LIE!!! & get that BONE SCANDAL CD from the Dove Chester/Ducksworth.
Shouts to Aaron G!!

LOCAL DIGS

I picked this up at a local galaxy..
I don't know what all the hype is behind these but they are not half-bad.
Supposedly the go by the name the UN-Futura's for their close resemblance to the ever-popular Futura Nike SB dunk lows that dropped in 2003.
These dunk Hi's are pretty clean and actually worth wearing.
I'm unsure what they cost...

LOCAL NEWS!!! EASTSIDERS UNITED
I've been back in my thrift zone. Checking my "tops" every 5 days or so to see what new. Lots of goodies have been had including arts, media, and clothing for sure.

Recently, I picked up this Pendleton tartan button-up shirt for $10, BRAND NEW!! .

I remember Supreme was selling these and the half cabs and old skool(?) too, as part of the John Cardiel pack with VANS.
I'm as excited to wear this as my mouth is in saying authentic black watch wool. Pretty nice cut and the materials is so sick. Did I mention it was virgin wool too?...

Accessories...

Yesterday, I finally received the Nike SB "Eugene" aka Buzz LightYear bagpack. When I was ordering it for BoundlessNY, I was not really sure personally if I would carry but I knew it was going to sell-thru. Though the colorway is not "everyday", overall I thought the bagpack was good.
After receiving it I must retract me previous statement.
First, I like how Nike SB takes a idea and makes it a trademark, speaking of their woodgrain graphic.
Secondly, Nike SB does not just ride off the colorway kids(also avalible in black) this bagpack is very functional with compartments for any and everything. Also check the "glow-in-the-dark" buckles.
I carried my Marc Jacobs bagpack inside this Nike SB bagpack plus a hand full of fragile electronics and my Macbook pro with extreme amount of room left.
Definitely the best travel bag to date for me.

To be honest, looking at the Nike SB bagpack in the plastic package it comes in. The bagpack seems extremely big but as you can see, wearing it is not that bad.

I had enough room to also fit the August Nike Sb Blazer release too, comfortably.

Both products are avaliable at your local skate shop or BoundlessNY.
The Nike SB "Eugene" bagpack is $150
The Nike SB Blazers are $60

Side RANDOM Note: I saw this random commercial last night at 4AM while working on some graphics. I did not know The 5th Dimension was a african-american band..
Thats what's up!!!

Happy Feet!!!

I got a new pair of shoes today.
These island teal heather, red trim, & white Nike SB Harbor were released last month at all local skate shops.
I particularly like Nike SB Harbors; nice looking skate kicks that if needed, can be dress up.
I paid $40 at Supreme.
(Side Note: The red bag is Balenciaga's "Twiggy" purse. This "Twiggy" purse was bought at Balenciaga's Chelsea New York location for $1200+tax)
