I can't say why yet but I will be rocking heavy Wood Wood this next year, possibly before the stores. I received this invite for the coming Copenhagen Fashion Week.
I heard Copenhagen Fashion Week is where its at. Looks like Wood Wood rolls like the '92 Bulls; Henry Vibskov, Mykita eyewear, Rike Feurstein accessories, and Stine Goya. NICE!!

Next season, I'm definitely making sure to attend Stockholm and Copenhagen's Fashion Week. I really admired their style of dress and design.
I saw Wood Wood newest collection "The Ninth" its pretty pretty good.

I will try to see what I can show.
Why do I like Wood Wood so much?I get this question a lot on J.D.S.
Easy answer... First thing and most importantly when looking for your brands is their line of creativity. It's one thing to borrow but I can't support copying. First let me explain "To Borrow". Borrow is a stitch style, or type of pocket, even a zipper style but a whole silhouette, color and all. Come on now. Copying doesn't help the industry, consumers, or the brands. If your not original at some degree, can you even be considered legit. Those Dr. Jay stores are one thing, thats there market to copy so that lower income families can be able to buy the downgraded version of the most current trends but everything else its blatant bullshit, lack of creativity, and/or flat out laziness. I hope more consumers wise up to this horrible trend that is ever so popular in North America. It's like paying original price for a replica "White Canoe" by Peter Doig. That's a $11,299,900 difference for a copy.
Secondly, I always say that one's style SHOULD come from life experience, influence, family, and location(no order). The most important factor though is fit. There is nothing like finding a nice creative yet functional garment and the fit is perfect. I feel like Wood Wood creates collections like this season in and season out.
These 2 attributes go hand and hand. You cannot copy something and get the fit exactly right. Fashion takes knowledge and experience. I think of the feeling when finding a great fitting garment at a thrift store. You can't fake that. No labels just quality and design. I feel like if I didn't see the hang tag, I still would purchase Wood Wood and to be honest, how many brands are like that now. High End, low end, Street-wear, you name it..
So as long as they stay true and continue to do that, I will support.
Plus, I love the name. Supposedly it comes from their old business of making greeting cards. They would use weird word references and one of the most popular phrases was "WOOD WOOD". The rest is history!!!
