Congratulation are in order for current WBC Lightweight Champion, Manny Pacquiao.
After Floyd Mayweather Jr's "so-called retirement(??)" from boxing on June 9, 2008, Pacquiao took over as the Ring Magazine Pound for Pound #1 ranked boxer in the world. Manny Pacquiao is the first Filipino to win three world titles in three different weight divisions (Pacquiao was a former WBC Flyweight Champion, IBF Super bantamweight, and now WBC Super featherweight).
The Pacquiao vs Barrera fight gives me goose bumps..
Some of my favorite boxers are Filipinos.
